Exciting News! Christian Community Mission & Caleb House ! Together serving people for Christ!

Over the past several years the Lord has been at work to confirm the vision we have had for Caleb House, and a full time ministry!  It began on a wing and prayer 18  years ago when Leonard Grubb began reaching out to men, women, and their families, who are affected by various addictions. Leonard and his wife invested in an old drug house as part of this vision – and renovated the property to provide drug and alcohol free transitional living for men. This house, dubbed Caleb House, provides a wholesome living environment as well as access to Christ centered help while they go from Christian rehab programs to mainstream life in the conventional world. The costs to establish this house and other ministry efforts have come at a great cost to Leonard and his wife  Maureen ; and now Leonard is seeking help to go full time into his ministry of 18 years.  That financial help must come from the support of the Christian Community because of their believe in the cause, and the men and families we serve, as well as the mandate of Christ to reach the “least of these…” for him.  Leonard is saying, “Here am I, send me!”

According to Leonard Grubb - “We’ve prayed constantly for direction and are at the point wherein we will be formalizing this ministry to men and families  by establishing our non-profit corporation through which we will operate and continue to fund this ministry!”  “In the first quarter of 2002 the Lord began to work as we made new friends at the Salvation Army, while old friends at the City Mission  began referring individuals to us for housing and mentoring… Currently we have 4 men in residence; all of them believers who are trying to establish their new lives in society based upon their Christian faith and Biblical principals.” In addition we conduct bible study at the Lake County Jail, serve as a Chaplain for the Painesville Police Department, and assist with 12 step recover facilitation at the jail.
